Borg-Warner Trophy Interactive Exhibit
Role: Interactive Design, Ui/Ux, 3D Modeling, Texturing, Real-time Lighting & Materials
DESIGN
As lead designer I was responsible for all interactive and ui design. I started the process off with quick sketches to help establish a flow for the installation, from there I created wireframes, interactive prototypes in Adobe XD and then final Ui designs.
3D
Plow Digital was provided with a 3D scan of the trophy. However, there was a lot of cleanup and optimization needed in order for the trophy to be viewable in real-time. Using Maya and ZBrush I was able to reduce the poly count and sculpt back in missing information on the driver's faces. After modeling was completed I then took the trophy into Substance Painter to replicate the natural patina that was on the real trophy. I then set up the optimized 3D trophy, textures and materials inside Unity for our programmers to work with.
